A growing private homecare provider is seeking an experienced Registered Care Manager to launch and manage a brand-new domiciliary care branch in Bracknell. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded care manager who enjoys building services, developing teams, growing care hours, and delivering high-quality care to private clients. The service will provide high-quality homecare and live-in care support to private self-funded clients. The successful candidate will take ownership of the branch from the beginning, building the team, developing local referral relationships, driving care hours, and preparing the service for its first CQC inspection.
Job Responsibility:
Managing the day-to-day operations of a new domiciliary care branch
Registering with CQC as the Registered Manager
Building and developing the office and care team
Recruiting, training, supervising, and supporting care staff
Growing private care hours across Bracknell and the surrounding areas
Building relationships with local professionals, community contacts, and private referral sources
Converting new care enquiries into high-quality care packages
Completing care assessments, reviews, risk assessments, and care plans
Ensuring the service is compliant, safe, and inspection-ready
Managing audits, safeguarding, complaints, quality assurance, and regulatory requirements
Monitoring local competitors, pricing, and private care opportunities
Taking part in the on-call rota
Supporting frontline care delivery when required
Requirements:
Previous experience as a Registered Manager, Branch Manager, Care Manager, Deputy Manager, or similar within domiciliary care
Strong knowledge of CQC regulations and quality standards
Experience growing care hours within a homecare service
Good understanding of private self-funded care
Strong enquiry conversion, relationship-building, and business development skills
Experience managing staff, building teams, and improving service performance
A hands-on leadership style
Good local knowledge of Bracknell, Berkshire, or the surrounding area
A stable employment history and a long-term approach to their next role
Have experience within domiciliary care, homecare, or a similar regulated care setting
Hold, or be willing and able to hold, CQC Registered Manager status
Live within approximately 30 minutes of Bracknell
Hold a full UK driving licence
Have access to a car
Have the permanent right to work in the UK
Be willing to participate in the on-call rota
Be willing to provide hands-on care support when required
