Registered Care Manager | Elderly Care Home. This is a rare opportunity to lead a stable, high-retention home with a deeply embedded culture of compassion, community, and excellence. The home operates under a dual-manager model, where the Registered Care Manager focuses exclusively on care delivery and CQC compliance, while a Business Manager oversees hospitality and commercial elements.
Job Responsibility:
Ensure full compliance with CQC regulations and governance frameworks
Lead, supervise, appraise and develop the care team
Manage disciplinary and grievance processes where required
Oversee person-centred care planning using a structured dementia-focused platform
Work approximately 60% supernumerary / 40% on the floor (flexible as required)
Embed and model the organisation’s values and standards
Work collaboratively with the Business Manager and report to the Operations Manager
Requirements:
Minimum two years’ experience as a Registered Care Manager (or strong Deputy ready to step up)
Eligible for or currently holding CQC Registered Manager status
Minimum Level 3 in Health & Social Care (Level 5 preferred or willingness to complete – funded)
Strong background in elderly care, ideally residential or dementia services
Experience managing staff performance, supervision, disciplinaries and grievances
Confident using electronic care planning systems
Demonstrable career stability
Comfortable operating within a split management structure focused solely on care
