The brief is straightforward: this is not a turnaround. The home is in a strong position, the team is settled, retention is high, agency use is minimal, and the foundations are in place. The next Registered Manager inherits a home in genuinely good shape - and the opportunity to take it to a full house. What sets this seat apart is the operating model. Job Responsibility
Lead the day-to-day operation of the home with the support of an established staff team and an engaged executive
Lead occupancy growth through community engagement - building referral relationships across the local catchment, embedding the home as a visible presence with local stakeholders, and diversifying enquiry sources
Responsible for CQC compliance, P&L performance, care and clinical quality assurance, staff leadership, and the home’s strategic direction in partnership with the executive team.
Requirements
Demonstrable experience as a Registered Manager in a CQC-regulated residential care home, or a strong Deputy ready to step up
Evidenced track record of growing occupancy and building community-level referral networks
Strong working knowledge of the CQC single assessment framework
Comfortable with home-level P&L, admissions and fee negotiation
Authentic alignment with a not-for-profit, values-led model
