Job Description

Birch Abbey is a Nursing home catering for up to 60 residents. The home specialises in dementia care, and our aim is to ensure all our residents feel as comfortable as possible. Our homes promote independence, dignity and respect through positive risk taking and empowerment.

Job Responsibility

  • Promote high standards of nursing care
  • Supervise staff appropriately
  • Ensure the shift runs in a smooth and efficient manner
  • Perform all general nursing duties
  • Follow CQC and NMC guidelines
  • Update care plans
  • Administer safe medication
  • Provide a high standard of care

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Registered Nurse (RN) within a similar setting
  • Ability to work closely with the care and management team
  • Ability to promote high standards of nursing care
  • Ability to supervise staff appropriately
  • Ability to ensure the shift runs smoothly and efficiently
  • Ability to perform all general nursing duties
  • Ability to follow CQC and NMC guidelines
  • Ability to update care plans
  • Ability to administer safe medication
  • Ability to provide a high standard of care
  • Ability to work well as part of a team and individually
  • Alternate weekend availability required
  • Willingness to complete an Enhanced DBS check
