Job Description:

Dovehaven Care Homes are recruiting for a Registered General Nurse to join our team at Westcliffe Manor Nursing Home, Westcliffe Road in Southport. Working three night a week- Monday, Wednesday and Sunday but is subject to change according to needs of the home. Shifts will be 8pm- 8am, withe very other weekend included, 36hr Contract. Westcliffe Manor is a Nursing home catering for up to 30 residents, our aim is to ensure all our residents feel as comfortable & happy as possible. Our homes promote independence, dignity and respect through positive risk taking and empowerment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Promote high standards of nursing care
  • Ensure all staff are supervised appropriately and the shift runs in a smooth and efficient manner
  • Perform all general nursing duties, following CQC and NMC guidelines, update care plans and administer safe medication
  • Being dependable and flexible in order to meet the needs of the resident and the home

Requirements:

  • Current NMC registration
  • Valid pin
  • Good knowledge of the most up-to-date clinical practices
  • Experience of producing well-developed care plans and detailed risk assessments
  • Understanding of regulatory frameworks, including DOLS/MCA and Royal Pharmaceutical guidelines
  • Dedicated and compassionate
  • Person-centred, thoughtful approach to nursing
