Flexible Shift Patterns: Early: 07:30 - 15:30; Standard Day: 08:00 - 17:00; Late: 12:30 - 20:30; Long Day: 07:30 - 20:30.
Job Responsibility:
Clinical Excellence: Performing rapid triage, Resus support, and acute interventions including IV administration, cannulation, and complex wound care.
Patient Monitoring: Utilizing NEWS2 for continuous vital sign tracking and ensuring the immediate escalation of deteriorating patients.
Trauma Support: Assisting with high-intensity cases within the Major Trauma Centre framework.
Coordination: Managing patient flow, delivering concise SBAR handovers, and collaborating on multidisciplinary discharge planning.
Safety & Compliance: Maintaining meticulous digital records, reporting via Datix, and upholding strict infection control standards.
Mentorship: Supporting junior staff and students while providing compassionate, clear communication to families in crisis.
Requirements:
NMC Registration: Valid RGN Pin (Band 5).
Experience: Previous experience in A&E, ICU, or an Acute Medical setting is highly desirable.
Skills: Proficiency in IVs, phlebotomy, and cannulation.
Mindset: Ability to remain calm under pressure and adapt to a rapidly changing clinical environment.
