Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and fast-thinking Registered General Nurse (RGN) to join a high-performing team within one of the busiest Emergency Departments in Preston. Job Responsibility

  • Join a high-performing team within one of the busiest Emergency Departments in Preston
  • Provide exceptional patient care in a fast-paced A&E environment
  • Adapt to variety of emergency medicine from minor injuries to major trauma
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including paramedics, consultants, and social services

Requirements

  • Qualified Registered General Nurse (RGN)
  • Valid NMC Registration
  • Enhanced DBS check on the update service (or willing to process a new one)
  • Right to work in the UK

Nice to have

  • At least 6 months of experience in an acute NHS setting (A&E or Assessment Suite experience is highly desirable)
  • Experience in clinical assessment and triage
  • Proficiency in emergency clinical skills including cannulation, venepuncture, and ECGs
  • Calm and effective communicator
  • Ability to mentor junior staff and students
  • Confidence in managing high-stress situations
