Registered Clinical Nurse Program Coordinator plans, coordinates, develops and evaluates the operational functions of programs and initiatives, within their area of specialty, to ensure quality, cost effective healthcare is provided. Collaborates with nursing leadership, the Medical Director for the area, and members of the healthcare team to implement evidence-based programs and initiatives. This position oversees multi-site National Accreditation Program for Rectal Cancer, (NAPRC) in collaboration with physician leadership, ensuring compliance with national rectal cancer standards and continuous quality improvement.
Job Responsibility:
Strategizes, plans, coordinates and oversees program/initiative operations for a specified service line, acting as a resource for nursing leadership and the multidisciplinary team
Synthesizes and analyzes current literature, research data, and practice standards to develop quality, cost effective programs/initiatives
Coordinates the clinical care of patients with the multidisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care
Collaborates with nursing leadership, direct care nurses, and members of the multidisciplinary team to assess, develop, implement, and evaluate appropriate education and nursing competencies for the service line
Acts as an expert resource and consultant to the healthcare team in the development of policies, procedures and standards of care.
Requirements:
MSN, MHA, or Master's degree in the job-related field of work required
graduate from an accredited School of Nursing required
Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
Two years of Nursing experience required, five years preferred
Project management experience preferred.
