We’re seeking a dedicated Registered Manager to lead our adult residential care service in Folkestone, providing care for individuals with complex needs, physical and learning disabilities. This is more than a leadership role—it’s an opportunity to shape a caring environment where people are empowered to live fulfilling, independent lives.
Job Responsibility:
Lead with empathy nurturing a compassionate, skilled team to deliver high-quality, person-centred support with kindness, respect and dignity
Create a warm, safe, and empowering home environment where every person is valued
Provide mentoring, supervision, and support that helps each team member grow and thrive in their role
Develop and oversee bespoke care and support plans that reflect each individual’s goals, preferences, and changing needs
Encourage independence, self-expression, and active participation in daily life
Support individuals to access community resources, build relationships, and achieve personal milestones
Act as the Registered Manager, ensuring the service fully complies with CQC regulations and best practice standards
Maintain accurate records, oversee safeguarding processes, and champion a culture of continuous improvement
Ensure the service is always inspection-ready, with transparent and robust policies in place
Work in partnership with families, healthcare professionals, and local authorities to provide holistic support
Promote inclusion, equality, and the rights of adults to make informed choices about their lives
Represent the service with warmth and professionalism in all external communications and meetings
Requirements:
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or equivalent qualification)
Experience managing a supported living or residential care service for individuals with autism, sensory impairments, learning and physical disabilities
Strong knowledge of CQC frameworks, safeguarding, and person-centred care principles
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
A calm, thoughtful approach to problem-solving and a passion for making a lasting difference
Confidence managing rotas and operational processes
Must be eligible to work in the UK
Willing to undertake an Enhanced DBS check
Registration with CQC as the Registered Manager is required
Nice to have:
Familiarity with the local health and social care landscape in the Kent area
