Job Description:

We are currently working with a Local Authority in Greater Manchester that is looking to appoint two experienced Class 2A Registered Building Inspectors to support their busy Building Control service on an initial 6-month contract.

Job Responsibility:

  • Managing a mixed caseload of domestic and commercial developments
  • Carrying out site inspections and ensuring compliance with the Building Safety Act 2022 and Building Regulations
  • Providing professional technical advice to applicants, developers, and members of the public
  • Maintaining accurate records and delivering a high standard of customer service

Requirements:

  • Class 2A registration under the Building Safety Regulator
  • Demonstrable experience working within a Local Authority Building Control environment
  • Strong technical knowledge of Building Regulations and relevant legislation
  • Excellent communication skills, including report writing
  • The ability to work autonomously and manage your own workload effectively
