We are recruiting an experienced Registered Manager to lead a domiciliary care branch. The branch is in its early stages of growth, currently delivering a small volume of care hours, and requires a confident, hands-on leader who can step in quickly and maintain momentum. This role is ideal for a Registered Manager or experienced Care Manager with strong knowledge of private care and domiciliary care services, who is comfortable working in a start-up or low-hour environment and driving sustainable growth.
Job Responsibility:
Act as the CQC Registered Manager, ensuring full compliance with all regulatory and legislative requirements
Provide strong leadership and day-to-day management of the branch team
Oversee the delivery of high-quality, person-centred domiciliary care
Maintain and improve CQC compliance, policies, procedures, and quality assurance
Support the growth of care hours through effective care planning, rota management, and relationship building
Manage and support care staff, including recruitment, supervision, training, and performance management
Ensure robust safeguarding practices and risk management processes are in place
Build and maintain strong relationships with private clients, families, and external stakeholders
Monitor KPIs, budgets, and operational performance
Ensure accurate record-keeping and reporting in line with regulatory requirements
Requirements:
Registered Manager status with CQC (or able to transfer registration quickly)
Proven experience in domiciliary care management
Strong understanding of the private home care sector
Experience managing or growing a branch with low or developing care hours
Sound knowledge of CQC regulations, safeguarding, and compliance
Confident, proactive, and able to work autonomously
Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
Ability to step into role quickly and maintain operational continuity
Nice to have:
Experience working in a start-up or newly opened care branch
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or equivalent)
Commercial awareness and confidence supporting business growth
