Job Description

New extra care housing scheme: 60 flats, modern apartments offering independent living with 24/7 care and emergency response. On-site care provider working collaboratively with housing partner. Facilities include communal lounge, café/bistro, garden, assisted bathing, and amenities to support social and wellbeing engagement.

Job Responsibility

  • Be accountable as the Registered Manager for both sites
  • ensure staff rotas, care quality, CQC compliance
  • Manage referrals, admissions, and service demand growth efficiently
  • Lead the staff team: recruit (if needed), manage performance, address staff welfare & morale issues
  • Oversee transition from an existing provider: integrate staff, mend cultural issues, embed strong leadership and care standards
  • Maintain high standards of documentation, safeguarding, health & safety, and regulatory compliance
  • Support out-of-hours cover when required

Requirements

  • Experience as a Registered Manager in domiciliary care
  • Strong track record with change management, staff integration, and culture building
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Able to operate commercially: understanding budgets, growth forecasts, managing resources
  • Resilient and flexible to manage challenges typical in new service build-ups
