Requirements

Internal applicants: Starting at B-RBT IV or higher on the Elevate structure
External applicants: At least 3-4 years of experience in ABA working directly with children with autism in a Behavior Technician or Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) role
Must demonstrate mastery in ABA therapy and pairing with children – 90% on RBT Evaluation
Recommendation letter from BCBA
No CA or PIP within the past 12 months (internal only)
Excellent verbal and written communication required
Must have reliable transportation
High School Diploma or equivalent required

Job Responsibility

Provide effective ABA training to newly hired and existing (Registered) Behavior Technicians
Report directly to the VP of Clinical Training and Program Manager of Clinical Training
Demonstrate fluency with explaining and demonstrating ABA concepts and training activities
Provide coaching, modeling, and demonstration of specific strategies and/or activities as outlined in the ABC training curriculum
8-day initial training-center schedule
Ongoing post-training and support at assigned center, as needed
Observe, monitor and give feedback on skills covered in the first 8 days
Prepare new therapists to achieve competency of applicable skills outlined in the BACB Initial Competency within the 8-day on-site training period
Collaborate with the VP of Training to plan and provide ongoing, individual or small group, R/BT training and support at various ABC centers as needed
Work exclusively with the training team and will no longer work with a designated caseload

Current Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) (preferred), or immediate RBT-eligibility (i.e., you have taken and passed the RBT exam offered by the BACB and are eligible to become an RBT once linked to and supported by a BCBA or BCaBA)
High school diploma or equivalent (required)
Associate or bachelor’s degree in psychology, education, behavior analysis, special education, or a related field (preferred, may be required by district)

Experience supporting students with autism spectrum disorder, developmental disabilities, or behavioral challenges (preferred)

Completion of district‑required background checks, clearances, and fingerprinting

Job Responsibility

Work under the supervision of a certified or licensed staff member who is responsible for instructional programming and student progress
Implement behavior intervention plans and skill acquisition programs as designed by the supervising teacher and/or supervising BCBA
Provide direct behavioral and instructional support to students (1:1 or small group) within general education, special education, or alternative classroom settings
Collect and record accurate behavioral and academic data during classroom activities, transitions, and school routines to monitor student progress
Support student access to instruction by promoting on‑task behavior, participation, and engagement in academic and non‑academic school activities
Apply evidence‑based ABA strategies (e.g., reinforcement, prompting, modeling, redirection) to reduce behaviors that interfere with learning and social participation
Assist students during transitions and daily routines, including arrival/dismissal, hallway movement, lunch, recess, and specials, while promoting independence and safety
Assist students with activities of daily living (ADLs) as outlined in IEPs or support plans, including toileting, handwashing, feeding, dressing, and personal hygiene, while promoting independence and dignity
Support skill development related to independence and self‑care, using prompting and fading strategies to increase student autonomy in ADLs and functional routines
Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and related service providers to ensure consistency of behavioral supports across the school day
