Job Description

The RBT will work directly with children diagnosed with autism and other developmental disorders, implementing behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). This role is crucial in helping children develop essential skills and improve their quality of life through applied behavior analysis (ABA) techniques.

Job Responsibility

  • Implement individualized behavior intervention plans as directed by the supervising BCBA
  • Collect and record data on the child's progress and behavior during sessions
  • Assist in the development of care plans tailored to each child's needs
  • Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations
  • Utilize behavior management techniques to promote positive behaviors and reduce challenging behaviors
  • Collaborate with families and caregivers to ensure consistency in behavioral strategies across different environments
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities related to special education and applied behavior analysis

Requirements

  • Previous experience working with children, particularly those with special needs, is preferred
  • RBT certification is required
  • Previous experience with high-aggression youth is highly desired. Willingness to work with this population is a must
  • Familiarity with data collection methods and ABA terminology is essential
  • Understanding of HIPAA regulations and confidentiality practices is required
  • Experience in behavior management strategies and applied behavior analysis techniques is a plus
  • A background in special education or related fields will be beneficial for this role
