Assist in the implementation of skill acquisition and behavior reduction treatment plans of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Assist with day-to-day activities, monitoring behavior, recording and collecting data on progress, and communicates and coordinates with supervisor on progress, concerns, or changes in the implementation of the treatment plan.
Job Responsibility:
Assist in the implementation of skill acquisition and behavior reduction treatment plans of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
Assist with day-to-day activities, monitoring behavior, recording and collecting data on progress, and communicates and coordinates with supervisor on progress, concerns, or changes in the implementation of the treatment plan
Work 1:1 with assigned individual implementing behavior reduction and skill acquisition goals within the assigned environment
Receive direct supervision and implement feedback as outlined by the supervising BCBA
Collect ongoing treatment data on behavior and skill specific goals as outlined by the supervising BCBA
Completion of daily treatment notes for each ABA session conducted per individual
Preparation for direct therapy sessions and collection of materials to ensure quality of care for the individual
Advises, consults, and/or trains the family and other agency personnel as assigned by the supervising BCBA
Participates in in-service programs and presents in-service programs as assigned
Understands and adheres to established policies and procedures
Participates with all other team members in development of treatment plan
Attends all additional scheduled staff meetings and conferences as assigned by the Director of ABA
Immediately reports to BCBA/ Therapy Supervisor any patient incidents/variances or complaints
Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent
At least one-year experience of working with children who have disabilities
Excellent instructional, oral, and written communication, organizational and interpersonal relations skills
Good mathematical skills
Ability to work with a variety of individuals regarding age, education, and functionality
Ability to present information and train staff who have varying levels of knowledge/experience
Ability to work independently and prioritize and plan work activities
Ability to problem-solve independently or in a group setting
