Regional Underwriting Manager

• Lead and manage regional underwriting teams, fostering a culture of high performance, development, and accountability
• Oversee Property & Casualty portfolios across specialist niches such as Property Owners, Leisure, Education, Care, Charity, Heritage, Faith, and Office Professions
• Drive profitable growth and retention in line with underwriting strategy and governance
• Provide senior referral support, delivering innovative and customer-focused solutions
• Collaborate closely with operational and trading leaders to deliver business objectives and strategic change initiatives
• Act as the underwriting lead within the region, engaging with brokers and key customers
• Support regulatory responsibilities, including fair value and consumer duty requirements
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and innovation across underwriting processes

• ACII qualified or working towards (preferred)
• Proven experience in a senior underwriting leadership role, with a strong record of delivering strategic and commercial outcomes
• Deep technical knowledge across both Property and Casualty lines
• Strong leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills, with the ability to motivate and develop teams
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Commercially astute, analytical, and solutions focused
