Partner with departments and offices within the region by providing technical expertise and consulting to further the development of the geotechnical service line
Serve as the primary geotechnical subject matter expert, resource, and point of contact to office and department personnel within the region
Develop, refine, and recommend policies, practices and procedures for the geotechnical service line to drive uniformity and standardization across the region
Partner and collaborate with other Regional Technical Consultants in other regions to develop the geotechnical service line across divisions and operating groups
Assist region departments in the execution of growth strategies and actions necessary to achieve the strategic and annual operations plans
Develop and deliver technical training for the service line including but not limited to drilling and sampling techniques, lab testing standards, engineering analysis, and field best practices to offices in the region
Provide technical support on projects as needed
Assist in the development of projects, business and clients
May participate in client development, proposal support, and pursuit strategy activities
May assist in identifying and interviewing key geotechnical hires to strengthen the region's technical capabilities
Follow safety rules, guidelines and standards for all projects
Participate in pre-task planning
Report any safety issues or concerns to management
Be responsible for maintaining quality standards on all projects
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering
A minimum of 12 years’ related experience in Geotechnical Engineering, particularly in consulting
Professional Registration License in Louisiana, Mississippi or Alabama is required with the ability to obtain a Professional Registration in other states preferred
Nice to have
Master's Degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering
Minimum of 15 years’ related experience in Geotechnical Engineering, particularly in consulting
The ability to obtain a professional registration in other states preferred
