Job Description:

Safely operate a tanker truck to transport materials between plants and customer locations. Load and unload tanker equipment in compliance with safety and operational procedures. Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections, reporting equipment or maintenance needs. Coordinate with dispatch and operations teams to ensure timely and accurate deliveries. Maintain required logs, documentation, and regulatory compliance standards.

Job Responsibility:

Requirements:

  • Must have a valid Class A CDL license
  • Demonstrated capability to safely operate commercial tanker vehicles
  • Strong focus on safety, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence
  • Ability to follow procedures, instructions, and changing schedules
  • Clear communication skills and a customer-focused mindset
  • Dependability and flexibility to support regional operations

  • Abiding by all regulations set forth by DOT, EPA, state and local governments, and VES-TS policies and procedures
  • Performing daily inspections of vehicle and/or trailer prior to driving
  • Prior to transporting materials reviews shipment records, manifests, container labeling, vehicle placards, and integrity of loaded drums, roll-off boxes or bulk tankers
  • Ensure that DOT requirements such as load weight limits, driver log books, Vehicle Inspection Records, transportation permits, insurance cards, fuel trip reports, IFTA fuel stickers, or other paperwork is up to date and valid
  • Consult with customers pertaining to load conditions, drum counts or paperwork inconsistencies
  • Notify immediate supervisor of any moving violations and/or accidents
  • Assist in the loading/unloading of materials at designated sites utilizing appropriate equipment
  • Assist with housekeeping as required
