We are currently partnering with a well-established and highly regarded Building Consultancy, part of a wider national claims and risk solutions group, to appoint a Regional Surveying Manager for the North of the UK. This is a home-based leadership opportunity with regional responsibility across the North, requiring travel to sites and occasional visits to UK offices. Our Client is particularly interested in individuals who demonstrate a forward-thinking mindset, a commitment to continuous improvement, and a genuine desire to help shape and enhance a market-leading surveying proposition. The successful candidate will join a business that values professionalism, technical credibility, and strong client relationships, and which is committed to evolving its service offering in line with industry change and innovation.

Job Responsibility:

  • Manage a personal case load and revenue generation appropriate for the regional team size
  • Own the full operations and management of a regional Surveying Services team, and to help achieve business objectives
  • Provide clients with a robust, professional, high quality and technically excellent surveying service across residential and commercial projects
  • Demonstrate a high level of technical quality and service delivery
  • Identify and assist the Surveying Operations Director to convert new business opportunities and develop existing Clients’ business to meet the organisation’s targets
  • Be responsible for the development and management of the Regional Surveying Services Team through the optimum use of resources, ensuring that performance objectives are achieved
  • Work with the National Technical Manager to help identify Audit improvements and ensuring appropriate implementation of change measures
  • Work closely with the other Managers and Business Units to ensure service is delivered to the highest possible standard
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external clients to understand their needs and ensure tailored solutions are provided

Requirements:

  • Solid surveying experience and knowledge of building construction, health & safety, and contract management for commercial and residential projects
  • RICS or similar qualification essential
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, while demonstrating a personal integrity
  • Previous leadership experience
  • Ability to work accurately under pressure, adhering to deadlines and service standards
  • Driver with access to vehicle and based with easy access to the Leeds area
