As a key leader in the Physical Security organization, you will ensure the successful delivery of site security programs, identifying ways to standardize services across diverse environments including corporate offices, vehicle depots, parking locations, and technical labs.

Job Responsibility

  • Execute Regional Strategy: Facilitate the successful delivery of physical security programs across the region, identifying and implementing process improvements
  • Lead Diverse Operations: Manage daily security health for a portfolio of sites with varying operational requirements, including high-traffic corporate offices and industrial vehicle depots
  • Vendor Governance: Manage regional security budgets and oversee performance for contracted guard forces, ensuring compliance with global SLAs and KPIs
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner cross-functionally with Security Investigations, HR, and Legal to ensure cohesive security delivery and solve impactful, multi-dimensional workplace issues
  • Incident Leadership: Lead site security events and emergency responses, serving as the primary regional coordinator to Physical Security leadership, the Waymo Security Operations Center (WaySOC) and local law enforcement
  • Support Waymo’s Physical Security Investigations program in the EMEA region, serving as a point of contact (POC) for law enforcement and local authorities on all regional physical security incidents

Requirements

  • 7+ years of progressive security experience in a corporate, or large organization, environment
  • At least 3 years of experience directly managing a security portfolio that includes multiple site types (e.g., managing a mix of offices, warehouses, or labs simultaneously)
  • Demonstrated experience leading onsite security incident response and emergency coordination within a distributed regional model
  • Experience managing regional-scale vendor contracts and overseeing guard force performance metrics
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders and navigate change in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated experience managing the full lifecycle of complex investigations within a corporate security or law enforcement environment, from initial intake and evidence gathering to final resolution and reporting

Nice to have

  • Bachelor’s degree in a security-related field (e.g., Criminal Justice, Emergency Management, Security Management)
  • Experience managing security for fleet vehicle depots, high-velocity logistics hubs, or e-commerce fulfillment centers during rapid company growth
  • Familiarity with physical security technology systems, including Integrated Intrusion Alarms, Access Control, and Video Management Systems
  • 5 plus year of conducting complex investigations in combination of Law Enforcement and Corporate setting

  • Design Development: Responsible for a well-defined and coordinated set of documents that capture project design intent and all relevant standards and guidelines. This will require attending meetings and working across all levels of the organization to provide background and educate both technical and non-technical stakeholders on the design requirements
  • Design Coordination: Support integration of physical security and other building system design elements into civil, landscape, structural, architectural, and electrical design elements
