We are currently looking for a Regional Sales Manager (Central & South) for a global FMCG player, recognized as one of the world's largest manufacturers of personal care products. This position will be based primarily in the Central region with scheduled travel to the Southern region (Melaka & Johor), and requires your urgent attention. Reporting to: Head of General Trade. Location: Central & South, field-based. Team size: 3 Direct Reports (ASMs) & 2 Indirect Reports (KAEs). Job Responsibility:
Take full ownership of the Central and Southern regions, driving monthly and annual volume and value targets while establishing localized sales objectives
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing field sales team, providing the necessary guidance to execute regional sales programs
Increase distribution points (both weight and numeric) to ensure the right SKU mix is placed in the optimal General Trade stores
Manage distributor operations and commercial teams to deliver on listings, execute annual agreements with key retailers, and ensure trade spending complies with company policy
Conduct regular branch and outlet visits to review sales performance, gather competitor intelligence, and ensure product shipments meet regional demands
Requirements:
Degree or equivalent
Minimum 6 years of FMCG sales experience
At least 3 years in a managerial role
Deep network and operational experience managing General Trade (GT) distributors across both Central and South (Melaka & Johor) regions
An aggressive, adaptable, and energetic mindset, capable of driving brand growth and bringing fresh ideas to the market
