Stine Seed Company, a privately held, national seed company, currently has an opening for a Regional Sales Manager covering Buena Vista county IA, Lyon and Nobles counties MN, Minnehaha and Lincoln counties SD. Job Responsibility:
Serve as primary coordinator for sales, agronomy information, and support for Independent Sales Representatives (ISR)
Learn and understand day-to-day needs of assigned ISRs through regular communication
Spend minimum 3 days a month in territory with ISR
Assist ISRs in development and management of key prospect lists
Assist ISRs with new dealer and direct grower recruitment
Assist in development of relationships with key growers and dealers
Evaluate ISRs on sales performance
Evaluate candidates for potential or existing ISR openings
Represent Stine at career fairs and recruiting functions
Evaluate territory and make changes as needed
Conduct business plan meetings four times a year with ISR
Conduct quarterly territory check meetings
Manage and allocate regional marketing budgets and plot seed allocations
Manage and allocate regional Flex dollars
Assist ISRs with organization of grower/dealer meetings
Organize and lead regional meetings
Assist ISRs with territory advertising campaigns
Assist in continuation of positive communication between sales force and support personnel
Assist ISRs with corn and soybean shipping
Provide marketing and sales input for future company programs
Attend sales/agronomy team member meetings
Help determine strengths and proper placement of Stine seed products
Have strong knowledge of Stine corn and soybean products
Assist ISRs with product performance inquiries
Assist with development, design, organization and distribution of plot seed
Assist with planting and harvesting of Success Plots
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in agriculture, Agronomy or related field, or equivalent work experience
Previous agronomy, crop production or seed industry experience is preferred
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Basic computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
Demonstrated initiative and the ability to work with multiple team members to meet established goals
Proven ability to build/maintain strong relationships and achieve desired results
Completing and passing a background check
Minimum 3 years experience required
