Regional Sales Manager (RSM) - FMCG company. Role Objective: The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for the strategic expansion and operational excellence in their assigned territory. You will lead a high-performing sales team, optimize distribution networks, and ensure the brand achieves market leadership in the FMCG/Food sector.
Job Responsibility
Strategic Growth: Develop and execute regional sales plans to achieve ambitious revenue targets and market share growth
Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and track the performance of Area Sales Managers (ASMs) and Sales Officers
Distribution Management: Appoint new distributors and strengthen existing channel partner relationships to ensure product availability in urban and rural markets
Market Intelligence: Monitor competitor activities, pricing strategies, and consumer trends to provide actionable feedback to the leadership team
Sales Operations: Ensure timely reporting, stock management at the CFA level, and effective implementation of trade marketing schemes
Requirements
Experience: Minimum 11+ years of core sales experience in the FMCG or Food industry
Graduate/Post-Graduate (MBA in Sales & Marketing preferred)
Proven experience in managing large, multi-layered sales teams across diverse geographies
