Syntech Systems – FUELMASTER, a leading U.S. manufacturer of electronic fuel management equipment, is seeking a dynamic sales professional to drive growth across a rapidly expanding territory covering Alaska, Washington, Northern California, Montana, Idaho, Nevada, Oregon, and select areas of Canada. This is an individual contributor role involving direct selling to end users and supporting distributors, requiring strong knowledge of petroleum equipment and the fuel jobber market.
Job Responsibility:
Drive new business development by proactively identifying and engaging prospective customers
Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline, collaborating closely with distributors and corporate teams to nurture opportunities
Serve as the regional face of Syntech, representing our brand through active engagement with distributors, headquarters, and project teams
Maximize team-selling resources, leveraging all internal and partner tools to close opportunities
Accelerate market entry by rapidly mastering product knowledge and confidently expanding sales across all segments
Establish and sustain strategic relationships with suppliers, distributors, and existing customers
Manage distributor partnerships to drive sales growth using the full Syntech product portfolio
Represent the company at industry trade shows and networking events, and follow up on leads generated
Monitor competitor activity, gathering key insights to inform sales strategies
Act as a liaison between customers and internal teams, ensuring project execution and client satisfaction
Report sales performance, leads, and market intelligence regularly to internal stakeholders
Uphold professional integrity, consistently reflecting Syntech’s values and character
Requirements:
3-5 years of outside (field) sales experience with a consistent track record of meeting or exceeding quota
Requires a consistent and dependable work history, ideally reflecting 3-5 years of tenure with each previous employer
Proven experience selling fuel or petroleum-related equipment, with hands-on familiarity in jobber and distributor channel sales
Proven track record of delivering persuasive client presentations and translating technical product features into meaningful business benefits for diverse audiences
Willingness to travel extensively (~50%), including overnight stays, to meet business objectives across the region
Based in the Northwest, preferably in Washington, with reliable local proximity to territory accounts
Possess a valid U.S. Driver’s license and maintain a clean driving record

Demonstrate sound business judgement and leadership, influencing decisions and managing engagements
Proficient with MS Office tools (Excel, Word, and Outlook) for reporting, forecasting, and correspondence
Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both written and verbal
Ability to build trust-based consultative relationships, position solutions, and manage customer expectations
