Job Description

As a member of Baxter’s sales team, you’ll be aligned to one of our global business units and be responsible for new business, developing existing accounts and ensuring patient-centric approach in all your dealings. You’ll work within an assigned geographic area or with specific accounts to achieve or exceed personal and business goals, all in pursuit of our mission to save and sustain lives. In the sales role, you’ll have the opportunity to provide input on new markets and products, manage customer concerns, and collaborate with other teams.

Job Responsibility

  • Developing and implementing strategic sales plans aligned with corporate goals
  • Motivating the team to reach their full potential by creating a culture that fosters teamwork, effective time management, planning, and execution in achieving objectives
  • Identifying and meeting with key customers, assisting sales representatives with maintaining and building relationships
  • Effectively developing and maintaining a robust and balanced forecast of opportunities while monitoring their progress in an efficient and timely manner
  • Partnering closely with a cross-functional team to close large opportunities
  • Coaching team members on both deal and skill-based opportunities
  • Driving corporate connectivity strategy and delivering on our integrated solutions platform
  • Managing a network of distributors and channel partners throughout the region
  • Retaining a current understanding of the local IDN market and the evolving medical industry landscape including high level knowledge of the competition

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree required with 5+ years of demonstrated experience as a top-level sales performer in the medical device or healthcare industry
  • 2+ years of sales leadership experience and knowledge in our Welch Allyn product line portfolio preferred
  • Proven experience in hiring, developing, and managing the performance of a sales team
  • Strong background working with IDNs and a demonstrated ability to work with and build relationships
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication and presentation skills
  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills
  • Individuals must live within the current geography or be willing to relocate to it
  • Familiarity with the posted region is strongly desired
