Job Description:

This is a pivotal role that bridges high-level strategy with hands-on distributor management for a rapidly growing FMCG organisation in Malaysia.

Job Responsibility:

  • Managing the total East Coast region (Kelantan, Terengganu, Pahang)
  • Reporting directly to the Head of Sales
  • Be the primary architect of growth strategy across the East Coast region
  • Oversee the distribution network
  • Ensure products are effectively placed and promoted within both General Trade (GT) and Modern Trade (MT) channels
  • Identify, appoint, and manage third-party distributors
  • Develop and execute tailored sales plans for Modern Trade and General Trade
  • Achieve regional volume and value targets
  • Monitor distributor KPIs, stock levels, and secondary sales data
  • Proactively identify 'white space' opportunities
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to execute in-store activations, POSM placement, and seasonal promotional campaigns
  • Provide regular market intelligence and performance updates

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in FMCG sales
  • At least 3 years in a regional leadership capacity
  • Proven track record in managing both Modern Trade and General Trade channels
  • Deep familiarity with the East Coast market and its unique consumer landscapes
  • Willingness to travel extensively across the region
  • Being based in Kelantan is a strong advantage
