A leading North American manufacturer of specialized thermal management and industrial cooling solutions is seeking a Regional Sales Director to oversee a high-performing Ontario territory. This role is less about 'cold calling' and more about high-level technical consultation, supporting an established distribution network and managing major institutional accounts. You will act as the technical subject matter expert, ensuring that distributors and contractors have the training and design support needed to implement complex cooling systems.
Job Responsibility:
Manage and grow an existing $20M regional territory through strategic account management
Provide technical training and joint sales calls for distribution partners and wholesalers
Utilize proprietary software to generate complex equipment selections and technical quotes
Represent the brand at industry events (e.g., ASHRAE) and conduct technical presentations for engineering groups
Coordinate with internal engineering and service departments to resolve customer design challenges
Requirements:
Minimum 3 years in technical sales within the HVAC, Mechanical, or Industrial Cooling sectors
Background in Mechanical Building Engineering or a related technical trade is highly preferred
Ability to navigate long sales cycles (6 months to 2 years) and build deep-rooted professional relationships
Must be based in the GTA and willing to travel regionally as required
