A busy and fast-paced business with great benefits, and plenty of opportunities for career progression, join Keyline as a Key Account Manager and play a pivotal role in managing and developing strategic customer relationships across Scotland south region. As a Key Account Manager (KAM), you will be the primary point of contact for a ledger of customers. You will build, maintain, and grow your ledger of customers while identifying opportunities for new business and accounts. A live project pipeline will be managed, maintaining visibility of opportunities from early engagement through to delivery. Regular face to face meetings will be a core part of your role, enabling you to review project pipelines, understand customer requirements, and identify opportunities. Working closely with Keyline Glasgow, Edinburgh and Dundee branches you will ensure that customer enquiries, pricing and invoice queries are proactively managed, offering a great customer experience. While day to day transactional enquiries are handled internally you will retain overall accountability for customer satisfaction and commercial outcomes.
Job Responsibility:
Assigned customer accounts to own and develop the relationship at both operational and decision-maker level
Identify opportunities with new customer and product ranges
To build and maintain strong, direct customer relationships, regularly visiting customer offices and sites
To manage and maintain a structured pipeline of projects, ensuring opportunities are accurately recorded, progressed, and reviewed with our customers
To ensure all customer queries are managed and resolved efficiently, including pricing discrepancies, Proof of Deliveries (PODs), and invoice-related issues
Manage our internal CRM system (Sales Hub), ensuring follow-up dates are current, next actions are clearly defined and information is accurately maintained
Working closely with the internal Keyline team, setting up processes to support our customers to increase account performance and customer satisfaction
To maintain up-to-date knowledge of products, market conditions and pricing movements to support informed commercial discussions
To actively participate in training, coaching, and development activities to continuously improve sales capability and performance
Requirements:
A passion for sales and customer relationship building

Excellent relationship-building skills with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders
Outstanding communication and organisational skills to optimise sales opportunities and enhance team performance
A track record of driving business performance and sales growth
Strong commercial awareness with the ability to interpret market trends and data effectively
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build trust and credibility across multiple customer stakeholders
Strong relationship management skills, with the ability to balance customer requirements alongside internal processes and workload
Proven ability to manage a structured project pipeline and maintain sales discipline through CRM systems
High level of organisation and attention to detail
Commercial awareness with confidence in discussing pricing, margins, and value-based solutions
Ability to work independently across a defined area while collaborating effectively with Keyline branch colleagues
Strong IT capabilities
Good numerical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and commercial information
