The Regional Safety Manager is responsible for managing the development and consistent implementation of safety, security, and environmental compliance programs.
Job Responsibility:
Coordinates contact post-award pre-mobilization activities including but not limited to: Coordination of EHS management tool training
Initiation and tracking of orientation process
Sends out updates and approvals of received pre-mobilization documentation to sites and upper management
Sends out templates to aid in subcontractor mobilization
Initiation of outsourcing of EHS contractors
Coordinates 2-week training for New EHS hires
Assists coordinator(s) in document control and development
Oversee all aspects of a commercial construction project ensuring OSHA compliance
Complete accident reports and conduct accident investigations
Oversee all subcontractors and contractors
Update corporate and site specific EHS dashboards
Oversees all EHS metrics and will send out reports on a routine basis
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in safety and health or equivalent experience, required
5+ years of EH&S compliance experience, required
1+ years of managerial experience leading teams
Certification such as CSP, CHST, OHST CIH, or CHMM, preferred
Thorough understanding of all relevant safety rules and regulations
Advance knowledge of constructions safety standards
Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to motivate employees to achieve long term vision while adjusting to daily challenges
Ability to challenge, explain, and defend safety programs with diplomacy
Excellent organizational skills with high level of attention to detail
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with strong interpersonal skills and ability to coach and train others
Ability to stand, walk, sit, climb, and balance
Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl using both arms and legs
Ability to reach, grasp, push, pull, handle, feel, and type with both hands and arms
Ability to smell, talk and hear
Ability to see at close and distance ranges and the ability to see and correctly distinguish color
Ability to lift equipment in small spaces without mechanical assistance, weighing up to 100 pounds
