8+ years of experience as Project Manager with a commercial general contractor
12+ years of working for a General Contractor(s) in a Project Manager career track
previous experience would include Office Engineer/Project Engineer, Assistant Project Manager, and Project Manager in the commercial building construction industry
K-12 Education project experience in at least one county in the Central Florida region required

Job Responsibility

Leadership: Initiates and maintains liaison with prime client and architect/engineer contacts to facilitate construction activities
Financial Control: Manages the financial aspects of contracts and protect the company’s best interests by monitoring labor and material costs and compiling financial status reports
Buyout: Leads the project team in managing the buy-out process which includes gathering the quotes and bids, reviewing the prices and scopes, developing the budget, and negotiating prices
Preplanning: Leads team to establish project pre-plans including objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards within boundaries of corporate policy and contract requirements
Risk Management: Thoroughly investigates potentially high-risk situations on the project and provides potential solutions
Oversight: Monitors and controls construction through the construction management system (BIM 360) and administrative direction of Site Manager to ensure project is built in accordance with the project plans, specifications, and the prime contract agreement, on schedule and within budget
Change Order Management: Utilizing WELBRO’s Construction Management System (BIM 360) and working with the team, manages the change order process with the owner, subcontractors and vendors as required
Staffing: Plans, organizes, and helps interview for key positions on the project and Operations Department
Performance Management: Oversees and executes training and development initiatives for direct reports
Invoice & Pay App Approval: Reviews and approves material invoices and sub pay apps in paperless system
