Job Description

Lead, mentor, and develop a team of construction project managers, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement. Provide oversight and guidance on project planning, budgeting, scheduling, execution, and closeout processes. Optimize the allocation of resources across projects to maximize efficiency and productivity. Oversee yearly project creation, budgeting and scheduling of the client's Capital Plan by the IFM team. Serve as a key point of contact for clients, stakeholders, and senior management regarding project status, and issues. Implement and maintain quality control and assurance processes across all projects. Continuously evaluate and improve project management processes, tools, and methodologies.

Requirements

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of construction project managers
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, provide feedback, and identify development opportunities for team members
  • Ensure project managers are aligned with organizational and client goals
  • Provide oversight and guidance on project planning, budgeting, scheduling, execution, and closeout processes
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to required quality standards
  • Review and approve project plans, budgets, schedules, and change orders
  • Optimize allocation of resources across projects
  • Coordinate with other departments and external stakeholders to ensure resource availability
  • Oversee yearly project creation, budgeting and scheduling of the client's Capital Plan by the IFM team
  • Examine/evaluate team's project budgets and financial performance
  • Review and approve financial reports, invoices, and expense claims
  • Serve as a key point of contact for clients, stakeholders, and senior management
  • Facilitate effective communication between project managers, clients, contractors, and other stakeholders
  • Implement and maintain quality control and assurance processes across all projects
  • Conduct regular project audits and site inspections
  • Identify and mitigate project risks
  • Continuously evaluate and improve project management processes, tools, and methodologies
  • Implement best practices and industry standards
  • Preferably in the Charlotte, NC market
  • Otherwise the person needs to sit in the SE part of the US
