Job Description

Randstad has recently partnered with a global leader from the UK in providing digital radio systems. They are currently expanding their team in Malaysia. They are looking to hire a Regional Pre Sales Engineer to cover the South East Asia region.

Job Responsibility

  • Manage technical aspects of customer responses and communicate client needs to R&D teams
  • Capture and understand customer requirements to propose technical solutions and build internal business cases
  • Answer detailed RFI/RFP tenders and perform SWOT analysis on competitor products to influence technical requirements
  • Prepare and deliver solution-based product presentations and execute customer proof of concepts (POCs)
  • Understand competitor offerings to assist the sales team with product positioning and differentiation
  • Work with Product Management and Marketing to develop unique product messaging and provide feedback from the field
  • Develop extensive customer relationships and technically qualify opportunities across the Asian region

Requirements

  • A relevant technical degree or demonstrable equivalent experience
  • Proven pre-sales engineering experience working alongside a sales team
  • Demonstrable background in Land Mobile Radio (TETRA)
  • Open to consider candidate with pre-sales experience in either 4G/5G or other wireless communications
  • Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia
  • Proven ability to confidently deliver technical presentations to various audience sizes
  • Experience in writing technical proposals and tenders
  • Willingness to travel regionally in Southeast Asia approximately 50% of the time, including some travel to the UK
