We are recruiting for a full time Regional Planning Manager on a fixed term basis for 12 months. Your passion has never had a greater purpose. Job Responsibility:
Progressing and supporting the delivery of the statutory FRMPs for cycle 3, leading key workstreams
Leading engagement and working collaboratively with responsible authorities and other stakeholders to develop strategic flood risk management plans
Providing specialist support for flood risk advice for land use planning and Water Environment Fund (WEF)
Representing SEPA externally, leading flood risk management engagement with communities including responding to ministerial and public enquiries
Supporting flood warning operational activities, as required
Requirements:
Relevant experience or qualification equivalent to SCQF Level 10 (e.g. relevant Degree)
Comprehensive knowledge of legislation and policy particularly in relation to flood risk management
Ability to provide authoritative advice on flood risk management in relation to land use planning and guide others on the resolution of complex issues
Well-developed planning, analytical and project management skills together with strong interpersonal, consultative and negotiating skills, co-ordinating people and resources
Strong influencing and communication skills to work confidently with senior leaders, staff and external partners, building strong relations and resolve a wide range of challenging stakeholder situations
