Job Description:

Be part of the team behind one of the world’s most iconic venues. Constellation, part of Compass Group UK & Ireland, delivers flexible and permanent workforce solutions across hospitality and event businesses throughout the UK and Ireland. At Constellation, our people are at the heart of everything we do. We build, develop, and deploy high-quality teams that underpin exceptional guest experiences across some of the UK’s most high-profile venues. We’re seeking a driven and people-focused Regional People Consultant to join our team at The O2, supporting the delivery of a high-volume, fast-paced event calendar. This is a hands-on, operational role where no two days or events are the same. You’ll play a key role in ensuring the right people are recruited, onboarded, and deployed effectively to deliver world-class service across hospitality and retail operations.

Job Responsibility:

  • Coordinate end-to-end staffing across hospitality, retail, and support functions
  • Build strong relationships with venue and operations teams, aligning staffing plans with event requirements
  • Forecast staffing needs based on event schedules, ensuring accurate and agile rostering
  • Manage staffing assignments through workforce management systems (e.g. Ubeya), including bookings and real-time updates
  • Ensure all events are fully staffed to agreed service levels
  • Partner with internal resourcing teams to attract high-quality candidates
  • Support candidate screening, pre-interviews, and assessment processes
  • Assign staff to roles based on skills, experience, and suitability
  • Support onboarding and on-site inductions for new starters
  • Build and maintain a strong, reliable variable workforce
  • Support employee engagement, attendance, and performance
  • Provide on-site support during event check-ins and operations
  • Gather feedback from stakeholders and contribute to continuous improvement
  • Promote a positive, high-performance team culture
  • Be present during events, supporting staffing delivery and resolving issues in real time
  • Manage last-minute changes, absences, and redeployments
  • Work closely with operations teams to ensure seamless delivery
  • Support the wider Constellation and O2 teams across all departments
  • Develop an understanding of venue operations and support cross-functional delivery
  • Act as a point of contact in the absence of senior team members, escalating and resolving issues as required

Requirements:

  • Experience in hospitality, events, or high-volume operational environments
  • Understanding of event-based staffing or workforce coordination
  • Experience supporting recruitment or onboarding processes
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
  • Confident communicator, able to build relationships with diverse teams
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proactive problem solver with a flexible approach
What we offer:
  • 23 days annual leave + time off in lieu
  • Opportunity to support other Constellation venues as required
