Job Description:

You will support the EMEA payroll and its complexities and also serve as a people manager. You will ensure accurate payroll processing, compliance with state and federal regulations, and exceptional service to our employees. You enjoy working through ambiguous challenges and leading a team to deliver payroll execution, making a positive impact at work. You will be based in India, supporting regional Payroll activities.

Job Responsibility:

  • Complete weekly/monthly payroll function for EOR, including employee queries, audits, reporting, and new entity projects
  • Ensure a smooth payroll delivery across EMEA
  • Lead the team of payroll specialists, ensuring goals are attained and metrics are met
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal payroll regulations
  • Maintain country-specific knowledge repositories of the EMEA region
  • Manage the monthly/quarterly/yearly reconciliation
  • Coordinate payrolls with vendors and the internal Finance Team
  • Ensure accurate processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, bonuses, and changes to pay rates
  • Prepare inputs for MSPs/ICPs payroll, review outputs, audit results, reasonability checks, and follow the payroll calendar with no missed deadlines
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports of payroll transactions, entering data into databases and spreadsheets
  • Ensure compliance with current tax requirements by working with MSPs/ICPs and other internal functions like Finance, People, Benefits, and Legal
  • Work with the Onboarding and Experience team to resolve employee inquiries on all payroll and vendor billing inquiries promptly
  • Identify process improvements with regional payroll processes and work toward streamlined, global solutions
  • Responsible for coordinating, enhancing, and furthering our process documentation
  • ensure uniformity across regions. Following delivery, continue to monitor processes and keep documentation up to date
  • Work cross-functionally with Operations, Finance, and other teams to provide successful solutions
  • Handle PI information according to GDPR laws and internal policies
  • Provide support to the account management team on all payroll, expense reporting, and billing matters
  • Establish and maintain competency in the area of international employment, payroll, and PEO (Professional Employment Organization)

Requirements:

  • Minimum 10 years payroll experience
  • Minimum 5 years experience managing direct reports
  • Knowledge of APAC payroll legislation and year-end formalities
  • Experience processing complex payrolls with multiple sources and vendors
  • Excel skills and other software
  • Business English fluency required
  • Experience working in NetSuite or similar ERP
  • Experience working in Expensify or similar expense management platform
