Oversee daily operations, managing budgets, and setting performance objectives
Provide daily operational support and coordination by leading a team of five supervisors and team leads who oversee 130 employees across our Orlando, Jacksonville, Gainesville, and Tallahassee branches
Managing specimen accessioning operations in Orlando, Jacksonville, and Gainesville
Collaborate closely with a large network of regional and local sales managers to ensure we deliver the best possible customer service experience for the clients and patients we serve
Achieve business goals and revenue targets
Recruit and train team members, support the general manager as well as conduct performance appraisals
Provide coaching and mentoring to supervisory staff
Manage internal and external stakeholder relations
Ensure all policies and procedures are updated and implemented in each territory in compliance with state and federal regulations and company guidelines
Ensure company standards and procedures are followed
Plan, evaluate, and optimize operations to be efficient and cost-effective
Monitor monthly productivity and report any deviations as necessary
Resolve any client related matters or customer complaints appropriately
Ensure productivity, efficiency and inventory levels are being properly maintained
Complete regular and timely financial analyses for all department related positions
Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual statements, analyses, and reports of operations and finances
Report any performance, compliance or staffing related issues and work with the appropriate departments toward resolution
Perform operational duties such as payroll and monthly schedules
Manage costs effectively by minimizing employee turnover and controlling overtime costs
Prepare specimens when needed
Travel to additional sites as necessary
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required, bachelor's degree or higher is strongly preferred
Working knowledge of clinical laboratory logistics, including specimen processing and accessioning operations
Ability to travel within 50 miles of the Orlando branch at least four times per month, or more as needed
Strong organizational skills
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
Skilled at prioritizing tasks, driving execution, and achieving desired outcomes
5–7 years of relevant experience and proven ability to manage, motivate and mentor a team
management roles preferred, though equivalent supervisory leadership will be considered
Ability to solve problems and provide solutions under minimal supervision
Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with internal and external customers
Comfortable making decisions in a changing environment
