Job Description

We’re looking for two Regional Operations Leaders to join our Picton team at an exciting time of growth and positive change. This is a hands-on leadership role where no two days are the same. You’ll be at the heart of operations—solving problems in real time, leading people on the ground, and keeping our services running safely and efficiently.

Job Responsibility

  • Leading frontline rail operations to ensure safe, reliable and efficient service delivery
  • Managing train crew and yard operations, balancing operational needs with people leadership
  • Taking ownership of incident investigations and driving outcomes
  • Identifying and delivering continuous improvement initiatives
  • Building strong relationships across internal teams, customers and stakeholders
  • Managing performance and navigating conflict with confidence and professionalism
  • Driving a high-performance, safety-first culture

Requirements

  • Experience in operations leadership within heavy industry, logistics, rail, or similar
  • Ability to solve problems quickly and make sound decisions in dynamic environments
  • Experience in incident investigation and operational accountability
  • Confidence managing conflict and having courageous conversations
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to build trust across teams and customers
  • Commitment to safety leadership and Zero Harm principles

Nice to have

  • Certificate IV / Diploma in Frontline Management
  • Rail or yard operations experience
