Job Description

We are looking for a motivated and skilled Sales Manager to lead sales efforts for Ansys academic solutions within Bangalore and nearby regions. The ideal candidate will have 5 to 7 years of sales experience, preferably in technology or software sales, with exposure to academic or educational sectors. You will play a key role in expanding Ansys’ footprint in academic institutions by building strong relationships and driving adoption.

Job Responsibility

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets for Ansys academic products
  • Identify and engage with key stakeholders in universities, engineering colleges, and research institutes
  • Conduct product demonstrations, workshops, and training sessions tailored for academic users
  • Foster and maintain strong relationships with faculty, researchers, and academic decision-makers
  • Collaborate with marketing and technical teams to enhance customer engagement and sales effectiveness
  • Track market trends and competitor activities in the academic software domain
  • Manage sales pipeline, forecasts, and maintain CRM data accurately
  • Negotiate deals and close sales to maximize revenue and market penetration
  • Provide feedback from academic customers for continuous product and service improvement

Requirements

  • 4 to 6 years of sales experience, ideally in software, technology solutions, or academic sales
  • Proven ability to engage and sell to academic institutions or education-focused organizations
  • Familiarity with engineering simulation software like Ansys is highly desirable
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Strong relationship-building skills with a customer-centric approach
  • Self-driven, goal-oriented, and able to work independently
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field preferred
  • Willingness to travel within Bangalore and occasionally across India

Familiarity with engineering simulation software like Ansys is highly desirable
