We are seeking an energetic and target-driven Regional Manager – Sales to manage and grow mid-market accounts for ANSYS simulation software. The role involves developing new business, nurturing existing relationships, and ensuring consistent revenue growth within the assigned territory. The ideal candidate should have strong technical sales expertise in engineering software and a passion for solution-based selling.
Job Responsibility:
Drive business growth for ANSYS simulation solutions within mid-market and SMB accounts in the assigned region
Identify potential customers, generate leads, and convert opportunities into successful sales
Manage and expand existing accounts by understanding customer pain points and offering the right ANSYS solutions
Collaborate closely with the pre-sales and technical teams to deliver effective product demonstrations and solution presentations
Develop account plans and strategies to maximize market share and achieve quarterly and annual sales targets
Maintain a robust sales pipeline and provide accurate sales forecasts and reports
Build strong relationships with key decision-makers, influencers, and ANSYS channel stakeholders
Participate in industry events, webinars, and workshops to enhance brand awareness and generate leads
Ensure customer satisfaction through regular engagement and post-sales support coordination
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, automotive, aeronautical, or related engineering discipline
5–7 years of experience in technical sales or business development, preferably in CAE / CAD / PLM / engineering software
Strong understanding of ANSYS simulation solutions and their industrial applications
Proven ability to manage mid-market accounts and drive consistent revenue growth
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
Strong analytical mindset with a solution-oriented approach
Proficiency in CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite
Willingness to travel across the assigned region
Nice to have:
Prior experience in selling ANSYS or other CAE software (e.g., Altair, COMSOL, Siemens, Dassault) to mid-sized enterprises
MBA or postgraduate degree in marketing/business management (preferred)
