BBQ is happiness – and training is how we protect it. Hickory’s Smokehouse is looking for an experienced Regional Kitchen Trainer to join our award-winning training team. This role is for a proven kitchen trainer who loves developing people, embedding systems and keeping standards high across busy, high-volume kitchens. This isn’t just about being great in the kitchen — it’s about training others to be great, using structured programmes that bring our food, culture and Southern Hospitality to life in every Hickory’s.

Job Responsibility:

  • Deliver structured kitchen training across multiple Hickory’s Smokehouse sites
  • Coach, support and develop in-restaurant kitchen trainers and management teams
  • Protect food quality, specs, systems and consistency at scale
  • Embed Hickory’s training frameworks, assessments and sign-offs
  • Spot skill gaps and help teams grow with confidence
  • Support new openings, menu launches and exciting business projects

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Kitchen Trainer, Area Trainer or similar
  • Strong background in high-volume, fast-paced kitchens
  • Hands-on experience delivering formal, structured training programmes
  • Confident coaching others and giving clear, constructive feedback
  • Passionate about food, people and unforgettable guest experiences
  • Warm, approachable leadership style with high standards
