Job Responsibility

  • Develop and execute customer-level strategies to create opportunities using an established technical solution selling model
  • Responsible for the entire process from lead generation and qualifying prospects to evaluating technical/economic viability and generating formal proposals
  • Maintain close contact post-order to ensure satisfaction, identify additional value-add opportunities, and professionally transfer projects to Order Fulfillment
  • Monitor the competitive landscape, report on market pricing, and attend trade shows to develop potential customers or markets

Requirements

  • A degree in Engineering, or a Business/Marketing degree supported by a strong technical aptitude
  • 5–7 years of experience in sales or business development, preferably involving solution sales of direct materials or products into engineered assemblies
  • Documented success in business development with the ability to utilize CRM systems to track objectives, strategies, and tactics
  • Must be entrepreneurial, comfortable with ambiguity, and able to work with autonomy
  • possess the ability to positively influence others to implement strategic plans without direct authority
  • Ability to travel based on business needs and specific sales objectives
