Job Description

SP Industries, Inc is looking for a Regional HSE Specialist that can successfully build safety programs in two locations: Warminster, PA & Gardiner, NY. This person must be able to demonstrate working through multiple leadership teams to accomplish goals and drive safety improvements.

Job Responsibility

  • Establish and support regional HSE programs
  • Serve as core member of Site Leadership Teams
  • Manage all HSE Events, Near Misses, and Hazard Identifications in Velocity
  • Facilitate/assist in HSE Event Investigations & Root Cause Analysis
  • Coordinate successful completion of internal audit action items
  • Identify, evaluate, and assist in correcting workplace hazards
  • Manage PPE program for each facility
  • Facilitate productive JHSC meetings, engaging the team in safety processes
  • Provide guidance and assistance in risk assessments of work processes
  • Provide instructor led-training to all necessary employees
  • Drive completion of annual HSE plan for facility
  • Assist in problem solving using ABM tools

Requirements

  • Proven success in multi-facility role dealing with multiple site leadership teams
  • Ability to travel ~33%
  • Experience with managing incidents and conducting root cause analysis to determine proper corrective actions
  • Experience in a lean systems environment preferred
  • Experience with Human & Organization Performance preferred
  • Must be able to successfully navigate digital environment
  • Bachelor's degree in Safety, Engineering, or Business, plus > 3 years of HSE experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • CSP, ASP, or other accreditation preferred but not required

Nice to have

  • Experience in a lean systems environment preferred
  • Experience with Human & Organization Performance preferred
  • CSP, ASP, or other accreditation preferred but not required
