Our team is dedicated to maintaining high standards of service and excellence in every project we undertake. We are seeking a Regional HR Manager (APAC) to join the team. This role is responsible for leading and executing the HR strategy across the APAC region, ensuring all initiatives align with Datalec Precision Installations (DPI) global standards. This position plays a key role in supporting rapid growth and workforce development in a diverse, multicultural environment. The manager is tasked with driving continuous improvement by implementing effective policies, processes, and partnerships that support scalability and operational excellence. Serving as the primary HR point of contact for the APAC region, the Regional HR Manager oversees all HR activities, including recruitment and payroll, ensuring regional operations align with global strategies while adhering to local labour laws and respecting cultural nuances. The role is essential to supporting business expansion and promoting employee engagement in a dynamic, technical setting.

Job Responsibility:

  • Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with APAC business objectives
  • Partner with senior leadership to support expansion into markets such as Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia and Hong Kong
  • Drive recruitment for technical and operational roles to support data centre projects across APAC in collaboration with the group’s Recruitment Manager
  • Build a pipeline of local talent and ensure diversity and inclusion initiatives are in place
  • Ensure compliance with local labour laws and DPI policies across multiple jurisdictions, aligning with global systems and practices
  • Maintain accurate HR documentation and reporting for audits and governance, and establish best-practice processes aligned with DPI file structures and standards
  • Act as a trusted advisor for employees and managers on HR matters, managing employee relations, grievances, and performance management processes
  • Initiate and implement training programs to enhance technical and leadership capabilities
  • Manage and oversee all end-to-end HR operations, including but not limited to onboarding, payroll, benefits, right to work and permits, local social security administration and HRIS for APAC employees
  • Proactively report HR metrics to the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and the global HR Lead regularly, providing actionable insights to drive continuous improvement
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including senior leadership, global HR and project teams
  • Collaborate and liaise with internal, external partners and third-party providers to ensure seamless delivery of HR services and compliance with DPI standards
  • Promote a high-performing, collaborative culture that is closely aligned with DPI’s core values
  • Lead, develop, and execute engagement initiatives and programmes designed to retain top talent, ensuring they are tailored to the specific needs of each region
  • Support the Executive Vice President, wider regional and global teams with any ad-hoc tasks and administration duties as required to ensure a smooth operation
  • Flexibility to attend meetings outside of normal working hours to support global operations
  • Represent the business, upholding our core values and behaviours with all internal and external customers, clients and third parties
  • Maintain business and client confidentiality, adhering to applicable Data Protection regulations and Information Security Standards in line with company and group policies and procedures

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent in a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of HR experience, including regional APAC exposure, preferably in the data centre or technology sector
  • Strong knowledge of labour laws and regulations in the APAC region and HR best practices
  • Strong business acumen and ability to influence senior stakeholders
  • Expertise in both strategic HR planning and operational delivery
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to read, write and speak English as well as local languages
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities, as well as work as part of a team
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Confidentiality and discretion
