Job Description:

We are seeking a pro-active and organised HR professional to join our team as an HR Case Manager for our branches in Newcastle, Edinburgh, Glasgow, and Elgin. This role calls for a confident and knowledgeable HR professional with proven experience in managing employee relations cases. You will be the trusted advisor for all employee relations matters across your operational region, working closely with managers and colleagues to resolve a wide range of employee relations matters.

Job Responsibility:

  • Trusted advisor for all employee relations matters across operational region
  • Manage diverse caseload including disciplinary, grievance, absence, and performance management cases
  • Ensure cases are handled fairly, consistently, and in line with employment law and company policy
  • Support investigations and advise Hearing Chairs
  • Manage Occupational Health referrals
  • Oversee accurate HR system records
  • Contribute to reviewing and improving HR policies and processes
  • Help build confidence and capability of managers
  • Identify training needs and provide practical guidance
  • Involved in wider HR projects including TUPE, reorganisations, and change initiatives

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in managing employee relations cases (grievance, disciplinary, absence, performance management)
  • Strong grasp of employment law and ability to interpret legislation into practical advice
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to quickly build trust and influence managers
  • Proactive and solutions-focused approach
  • Ability to manage a varied caseload while maintaining high standards of accuracy and consistency
  • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a wider HR team
  • Willingness to travel within assigned region
  • Must be able to pass criminal record, personal credit and ID checks
  • Must have verifiable 5-year employment/unemployment/educational history
