Are you a passionate HR professional who thrives on building strong relationships, influencing leaders, and driving positive people outcomes? We're looking for an experienced Regional HR Business Partner to support our operational teams across the region and help deliver people strategies that enable business success. Reporting to the Head of People & Development, you'll play a key role in partnering with site leadership teams, providing expert HR guidance, and creating an engaging, inclusive workplace culture.
Job Responsibility
Build strong relationships with General Managers, Area Operations Managers, and line managers, providing proactive HR support aligned with business objectives
Manage a wide range of employee relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance, absence management, and redundancy processes, ensuring fair and legally compliant outcomes
Work closely with Occupational Health providers to support effective absence management and colleague wellbeing
Drive employee engagement initiatives, supporting engagement champions and implementing local feedback mechanisms, pulse surveys, and action plans
Support the delivery of national people initiatives, including employee surveys, community partnerships, and engagement programmes
Develop positive working relationships with recognised trade unions and key site stakeholders
Support recruitment, onboarding, retention, and workforce planning activities across the region
Collaborate with Learning & Development Business Partners to support colleague development and career growth
Produce and analyse HR metrics and reports to support data-driven decision-making
Ensure compliance with employment legislation, company policies, and HR best practice through audits and effective record keeping
Oversee key HR administration processes, including family leave requests and payroll-related activities
Contribute to HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives as required
Requirements
Previous experience in an HR Advisor, HR Generalist, or HR Business Partner role (typically 2–5 years)
Strong understanding of UK employment law and HR best practices
Proven experience managing employee relations cases, including disciplinaries, grievances, absence management, and workplace disputes
Excellent communication, coaching, and stakeholder management skills
Ability to build credibility and influence at all levels of the organisation
Strong problem-solving skills and a pragmatic, solutions-focused approach
Experience supporting recruitment, retention, and workforce planning initiatives
Ability to analyse HR data and produce meaningful reports and insights
Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
Experience using HR systems such as Workday, SAP, OpenHR, or similar platforms
Nice to have
CIPD Level 5 qualification (or currently working towards it)
Experience working within a multi-site operational environment
Experience partnering with trade unions
