Based in Hong Kong and reporting to the Regional CEO GCR, the Head of Human Resources Greater China Region plays a critical role as a senior HR leader and strategic business partner. In this position, you will be responsible for deploying the Group HR strategy across the region while ensuring its effective and compliant local implementation. You will act as a trusted advisor to the regional leadership team, supporting business performance, organizational development, and cultural alignment across the entire employee lifecycle.
Job Responsibility
Acting as a strategic HR partner to the Greater China leadership team, providing guidance on organizational design, workforce planning, talent strategy, and change management
Deploying and adapting global HR policies and frameworks to meet regional business needs and local regulatory requirements
Leading the full employee lifecycle, including workforce planning, recruitment, onboarding, performance management, talent reviews, succession planning, and employee relations
Driving talent development, leadership effectiveness, and retention initiatives across the region
Coaching and supporting leaders through transformation, organizational changes, and capability building
Ensuring compliance with local labor laws and internal HR standards, while overseeing HR operations, governance, and reporting
Managing HR budgets, forecasting, and cost control in collaboration with Finance and regional stakeholders
Leading, developing, and inspiring the regional HR team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement
Contributing to global HR initiatives and sharing regional insights to continuously enhance Group HR strategies
Requirements
Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Psychology, or a related field and significant leadership experience (typically 10–15 years in HR, including at least 5 years in a strategic leadership role)
Experience in Asia / Greater China is a strong asset
Fluent in English
Mandarin and/or Cantonese would be considered a strong advantage
Strong track record in HR business partnering, organizational development, and talent management
Solid expertise across core HR processes, including employee relations, compliance, performance management, and compensation
Demonstrated ability to drive transformation and lead change in complex environments
Strong analytical mindset, with the ability to anticipate challenges and propose pragmatic solutions
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
