Regional Funeral Plan Sales Consultant role to work with funeral directors, local crematorium teams, and directly with local community groups to share the benefits of funeral planning and sell Westerleigh Funeral Plans. Travel required throughout the North West, Midlands and North Wales.
Job Responsibility:
Funeral Director engagement – to promote and raise awareness of our funeral plan products and services
Community Engagement – organise and deliver region wide community promotional and engagement events
Funeral plan sales - Supporting face to face those looking to plan ahead
Collaborate with the Crematorium Managers across the region to identify potential funeral director businesses
Identify and pursue new business development opportunities within the local community
Confidently meet with both funeral directors and prospective funeral plan customers
Generate awareness and leads through proactive local promotion activity
Provide exceptional service across various communication channels
Support customers with interest in Westerleigh’s wider cremation, burial and memorial product offerings
Handle sensitive customer queries with empathy and professionalism
Process applications accurately
Work collaboratively as part of One Team to meet service level agreements (SLAs)
Share feedback, insights, and recommendations for improving product and service offerings
Operate in line with FCA regulatory expectations
Engage in coaching and development sessions
Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records
Ensure customer data is managed securely
Develop a deep knowledge of our products and services
Requirements:
Previous experience in a consultative Sales orientated role working to targets
Full driving licence and own transport
Ability to generate customer leads through proactive work
Self-motivated with a passion for meeting and exceeding targets ethically
Ability to talk confidently about a range of products and tailoring responses to meet customer needs, both B2B and B2C
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Resilient and able to build strong relationships with potential customers, offering compassionate and professional support
Must pass a DBS (criminal record) check
Nice to have:
Experience of selling funeral plans / insurance plans / knowledge of FCA compliance
