Job Description:

We are seeking a high-caliber, results-oriented Regional FP&A Manager to be based in Southeast Asia, responsible for leading the financial planning, analysis, and strategic forecasting across our key Southeast Asian markets. This role is highly commercial, requiring the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable business strategies for the regional management team, ensuring profitable growth and optimized resource allocation in a fast-paced FMCG environment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead PBF Cycles: Own and manage the full regional planning lifecycle, including the annual operating plan (AOP), quarterly rolling forecasts, and monthly latest estimates (LEs) for all Southeast Asian markets
  • Strategic Financial Modeling: Develop and maintain sophisticated P&L, Gross Margin, and Cash Flow models to support strategic initiatives, scenario planning, and investment appraisals
  • Performance Analysis: Conduct in-depth variance analysis comparing actuals to budget/forecast, focusing on commercial drivers such as volume, mix, price, and trade spending effectiveness
  • Trade Spend & A&P: Provide rigorous financial governance and control over key commercial investments, including Trade Spending (TS) and Advertising & Promotion (A&P) budgets, ensuring strong ROI
  • Commercial Partnering: Act as a critical finance business partner to the Regional Marketing, Sales, and Supply Chain leadership teams, providing timely commercial insights to drive profitable decision-making
  • Driving Growth: Analyze market trends, competitor performance, and category performance to identify and quantify opportunities for revenue growth, margin improvement, and cost optimization
  • C-Suite Reporting: Prepare and present concise, executive-level financial reports and analysis packages to the Regional Leadership Team and Global/APAC HQ
  • Process Improvement: Lead initiatives to enhance the efficiency, accuracy, and automation of FP&A processes and systems
  • Data Integrity: Ensure consistency and integrity of financial data used in planning and reporting across the different markets and ERP systems
  • Talent Development: Coach and mentor junior finance team members across the region, promoting a culture of analytical excellence and high business acumen

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related quantitative field
  • Minimum 6-8 years of progressive experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) or Commercial Finance roles
  • Direct experience (minimum 2 years) from a Big Four Accounting Firm (PwC, Deloitte, EY, KPMG) is strongly preferred
  • Significant experience within the FMCG or Retail industry is required, particularly dealing with Gross Margin and Trade Spend analysis
  • Proven experience managing budgets and performance across multiple Southeast Asian countries
  • Expert proficiency in financial modeling and advanced Microsoft Excel
  • Strong working knowledge of large-scale ERP (SAP/Oracle) and BI tools (Power BI/Tableau)
  • Strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, high sense of urgency, and ability to thrive in a matrix organization

A professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or CFA) is highly preferred
