Job Description:

Working as Part-time Regional Finance Support, you will perform high quality financial and operational assessments and will make observations to multiple location internal control systems. You will test plans and procedures, offer recommendations for changes in policies, procedures or processes in order to improve productivity and quality of workflow. This position may offer a flexible schedule after a period of onboarding, training, and meeting performance goals.

Job Responsibility:

  • Performing audit procedures to determine branch compliance with established fiscal policies, rules, and regulations
  • Maintaining asset management of multiple cost centers (Inventory, Accounts Receivable and Fleet)
  • Evaluating internal control structure with branches
  • Testing for compliance with the Sarbanes Oxley Act
  • Monitoring the region's largest assets
  • Developing audit findings and making recommendations for improvement
  • Performing auditing and documenting procedures
  • Summarizing and performing analytical reviews of account balances
  • Communicating with branches to provide assistance and solutions
  • Reviewing and reporting to identify and improve problems or issues
  • Speaking in front of large and small groups to provide trainings
  • Analyzing and reviewing quarterly financial statements
  • Preparing monthly and quarterly reports
  • Collaborating with corporate departments

Requirements:

  • 18 years of age or older
  • Possess a current full valid driver's license issued in the country where the job is located
  • Possess or are working towards a degree in Accounting/Finance OR have at least 1 year of accounting or Fastenal work experience
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
  • Highly motivated, self directed and customer service oriented
  • Demonstrate strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities
  • Exhibit strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision making skills
  • Demonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency
  • Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
