T2M have been appointed to recruit this key role for an international private equity backed engineering services & logistics group, with operations throughout Europe, APAC and the US (the majority of business currently in Europe), that delivers projects to global brand manufacturing clients. European multi-site opportunity with travel, the role can be based out of France or Germany, it is a visible role in the business and will offer the opportunity for you to really make your mark. Reporting to the Regional Managing Director, the Regional Finance Manager will be responsible for a small team of finance professionals assigned to each Country. This a diverse role overseeing financial operations, strategy, internal and external reporting within the region, requiring technical accounting expertise and solid business partnering/stakeholder engagement experience.

Job Responsibility:

  • Serve as a key financial advisor and business partner to regional leadership and operations teams, providing financial insights to support business decisions and drive growth and profitability for the region
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including Regional Country Managers and Group HQ
  • Oversee the preparation, presentation and consolidation of accurate and timely financial/statutory reporting for the region, ensuring compliance with local policies and group requirements i.e. GAAP, GPS
  • Ensure timely production, quality and analysis of monthly management accounts explaining key trends and potential risks and opportunities
  • Lead and develop the finance support functions i.e. Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Systems departments. Delivering exceptional internal customer service
  • FP&A – Lead the monthly reporting, annual budgeting, quarterly QBR and rolling forecasting process, providing insightful analysis and recommendations to support strategic decision making
  • Project Accounting – Review and drive performance of all active projects, working close with engineering and project management teams to ensure that all costs are accounted for and forecasted correctly
  • Lead the external audit process for the region including full engagement with external auditors
  • Contribute to the strategic planning and development of the business as a key member of the Regional Leadership Team and integral support to the Regional Managing Director
  • Financial management of capital expenditure projects, including evaluation and monitoring

Requirements:

  • Recognised professional accountancy qualification
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field (MBA preferred)
  • Proven knowledge of accounting principles, practices and standards (GAAP and GPS)
  • Experience of Project-Based/Contract accounting
  • Experience of working as a Regional Finance Manager/Head of Finance within the France or Germany
  • People manager with a proven track record of leading change and motivating teams
  • High level of integrity and dependability
  • Excellent analytical and modelling skills, with the ability to interpret and analyse data to make informed and insightful business recommendations to influence the direction of the business
  • Must be fluent in English, French, and or German
  • Happy to travel
  • Candidates must be eligible to work in the France or Germany on a permanent full-time basis

Nice to have:

Previous engineering or business services sector experience is desirable
